On September 19, 2018, we had the honor of assisting Google in organizing its famous Think Travel event in Bali. We brought together over one hundred luxury hotels for the day. The goal of these conferences was to present the latest tools and trends in online marketing.
Google opened the event by presenting the key figures of the last years, the travel landscape in Indonesia, as well as the new tools available to hotels to reach their online targets. Among these was the “Custom intent”, which helps to reach users who have searched for certain terms on Google search engine.
Subsequently, Erika Anggreini, the marketing director for Archipelago International Hotels, presented their group strategy for capturing their online target.
Finally, our founders, Hicham Benyebdri and Assil Bernossi, presented the best practices for managing online marketing campaigns in order to optimize conversion rates and increase direct bookings. They also gave advice on establishing an effective marketing plan.
The hotels in attendance were thrilled to be able to spend a day benefitting from and rubbing shoulders with experts in the sector, taking advantage of the opportunity to ask all kinds of industry-related questions.
The event further allowed Swell to reinforce its position as one of the primary online travel experts in Indonesia.
